A staunch supporter of both the French revolution and the American colonies, the underprivileged, and parliamentary reform. After Pitt’s death in 1806, Fox became the most colorful personality in the House. He lived long enough to see passage of his bill abolishing slavery on June 10, and died on September 13, 1806. He was buried in Westminster Abbey next to his longtime opponent, William Pitt.
